Terms & Conditions for LLMs.txt Generator

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using the RankPirate LLMs.txt Generator tool ("the Tool"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Tool.

2. Tool Purpose

The Tool is designed to automatically generate llms.txt files for websites following the specification published at llmstxt.org as of February 1, 2026.

3. Specification Version

The Tool generates files and suggestions based on the llms.txt specification from llmstxt.org as it existed on February 1, 2026. The specification may be updated by its maintainers independently of this Tool. RankPirate is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or responsible for the llmstxt.org specification.

4. Data Collection and Processing

When you use the Tool:

  • We fetch publicly accessible content from the URL you provide
  • We analyze HTML structure, metadata, and internal links
  • We use AI (GPT-4o-mini from OpenAI) to generate descriptions and suggestions
  • We check for existing llms.txt files on your domain
  • We store generated llms.txt files and scan metadata on our servers for 90 days, after which the data is anonymized
  • We collect and store: website URL, email address, IP address, user agent, and generated content
  • We may use your email address to contact you about RankPirate updates, features, and related communications
  • We log usage statistics for service improvement and analytics purposes
  • Your data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy

4a. Data Retention

We retain data collected through the Tool as follows:

  • Personal data (email, IP address): 90 days from submission
  • Generated content and scan metadata: 90 days, then anonymized for analytics
  • Anonymized analytics data: indefinitely for service improvement

You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at [email protected].

5. Accuracy and Warranty

THE TOOL IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND.

  • Generated content may contain inaccuracies or errors
  • AI-generated descriptions are suggestions and should be reviewed
  • You are responsible for verifying all generated content before publishing
  • We make no guarantees about the completeness or correctness of generated files
  • The Tool may not detect all important pages on your website

6. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Only generate llms.txt files for websites you own or have permission to analyze
  • Review and edit all generated content before publishing it
  • Ensure generated content accurately represents your website
  • Not use the Tool to analyze websites you do not have rights to
  • Not attempt to abuse, exploit, or overload the Tool
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

7. Intellectual Property

  • You retain all rights to content you submit to the Tool
  • You retain all rights to the generated llms.txt files
  • The llms.txt format and specification are defined by llmstxt.org
  • The RankPirate Tool and its implementation are proprietary

8. Limitation of Liability

RankPirate and its operators shall not be liable for:

  • Any inaccuracies in generated content
  • Any damages resulting from use of the Tool or generated files
  • Service interruptions or unavailability
  • Changes to the llms.txt specification by third parties
  • Issues arising from publishing generated content without review

9. Service Availability

We reserve the right to:

  • Modify, suspend, or discontinue the Tool at any time
  • Implement usage limits or rate limiting
  • Refuse service to any user for any reason
  • Update these terms without prior notice

10. Third-Party Services

The Tool uses third-party services including:

  • OpenAI's GPT-4o-mini for AI-powered content generation
  • Your use of the Tool is also subject to OpenAI's terms of service

11. Privacy

Use of the Tool is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

12. Modifications to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Tool after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. The "Last Updated" date at the top indicates when these terms were last modified.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which RankPirate operates.
